I have been building stuff for 40+ years and still enjoy it. Electronic engineering is where most of my professional experience is. That includes microprocessor/embedded design, schematic drawing, PCB layout, assembly language programming and technical writing. I also do web page HTML/CSS, graphics and photography.
For the last couple of years I have picked up 3D modeling and rendering using LightWave. The 3D printer is used to generate parts for customer projects, enclosure parts, generate PCB assembly test fixtures and (the best thing) for learning something new.
