I'm a masters student in Information Management at the Tilburg University, entrepreneur. I created two ICT startups that do well. I'm doing research into innovation and disruptive technologies. This is where RepRap, FabLabs and other fabrication facilities come into play: professional fabrication is becoming more and more accessible for the creative or even the average person. I've built a RepRap for myself and 3D printing objects, especially on your own machine, is really a magical experience. I'm also building more RepRaps with the FabLabs in the Netherlands and I give presentations on user fabrication at:
- the Wikimedia Conference of 2008, Utrecht, NL
- Reboot 11 in Copenhagen, Denmark
- Hacking At Random 2009, Vierhouten, NL
- Corporate Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation Masterclass, fall 2009, Deurne, NL
- Media Ecologies (nov.09), Salford University, Manchester, UK
- The Emergence of Innovation Communities in Open Hardware (nov.09), Nottingham University, UK
- Innovation centered conference at Essent (2009), Den Bosch, NL
- FOSDEM 10, Brussels, SHiFT.pt Portugal (2010).
- TV interview on Dutch national news ( bit.ly/RepRapNOSJournaal )
- TV interview on Omroep Brabant (regional Dutch television)
- Upcoming: MIT Innovation Lab, Cambridge, Mass. (March 16th, 2010)
