About me: Electronics Engineer, working in the industry for several years now designing circuits, layouting, testing, and i do have my fingers in some of the firmware-stuff (ANSI C, RealTime OS), mostly based on Renesas M16C and STM32 Cortex M3 controllers.
I am at the same time involved in the process of getting all the measurements for the various certifications (CE conformity and most of the EN tests plus some special stuff) for our products. As i work in a heavily regulated branch of the electronics industry i do know quite a bit about how to design and adapt/correct circuits to be approved.
The only thing that i do not solder by hand and with a soldering iron are circuits with BGA-footprints. Just to darn delicate and kinda impossible to get to the pads... ;)
