I teach Design Technology & Engineering to 11-19 year olds in the United Kingdom. I trawl the Internet for projects to laser cut & 3D print and show to students for inspiration.

Recently, my y10 students have been designing and making MP3 stereo amplifiers (Kitronik). They solder and test the circuit. They model the enclosure for the circuit and speakers using Pro/Desktop and export DXF's for laser cutting; they model the volume control knob and export as STLs and build them on the BfB 3D-touch. They record the workflow as part of their assessment.
