Bird pendant generator.
**First Step**, open bird shaper:

From the opening angle of his tail, the number of feathers on it, to the ratio of separation between upper and lower part of his beak: everything is parametric.
That makes a lot... hence the graphical assistant to help you in this task !

You can thicken the legs by increasing "legs_diameter" which is the width and height of them (try 2.4 for example, you may want to increase "toes_length" after that).
The tail thickness is the body thickness minus "rounding" (put it to 0 and you get a flat bird with the tail as thick as the body).
"layer_height" is the thickness of slices used to build the rounding.

That being said, I think that you should retry to print your .stl, without raft, watching carefully the first layer. It needs to be squashed to stick well.

If you don't like the size of your model, redo it in the Bird Shaper, don't scale it in MakerWare or you lose the 2mm legs.
Very cool idea and thank you for posting! I tried to print it scale a couple of times using a Makerbot replicator 2 with PLA. The first time, the legs got mangled early on. I then tried to print using rafting which worked until i tried to remove the rafting and broke off the tail. What would be the best way to thicken up the legs and tail? the "Body Thickness" parameter seems to only increase the tail thickness slightly and legs not at all. Do you think increasing layer height might help? Thanks again for sharing your awesome project!

Instructions

Design the main shape of your pendant in the [Bird Shaper](http://chaaawa.com/forthebirds)
**Paste** the output in Customizer and fine tune the details (toes, ring...)
 
Bird Shaper also available in .zip for offline use.
 
Google Swiffy output (for devices without flash player) is barely functionnal. A full rewrite is required for an useable html version.

Only a few of the parameters in the Bird Shaper page are changeable for me. How can I fix that?
Beak height, feather number and feather width: by clicking on up and down arrows, all other by drag&drop on red handles.

This is very clever. After messing around with the parameters, I could even make the bird look something like a fish. With just a few tweaks your geometries could have a "for the fishes" option too.

This is awesome on so many levels. The flash site is brilliant. Very well done.
Very cool. I initially thought you should just have the Bird Shaper as sliders in the customizer but it would take painfully long to redraw every time you moved something. So I like the separate Shaper tool very much. It's too bad there isn't a means for doing this in the customizer, with quick refresh like your app does.

The separate tool was not planned. It has emerged from the first tests, and divides by two the number of parameters. Soon, we might be able to pass values from the outside to "Customizer", avoiding the copy/paste. Or it's already feasable and i don't know how.
