Am I an engineer or an artist? Yes, though probably in that order. My doctorate is in aerospace controls, which is the path of my career. 3D design and printing is one of the odd hobbies I enjoy. My designs have been featured in Libre Graphics Magazine, issue 1.4 libregraphicsmag.com and in an exhibition at The Luminary called Recently Possible: Objects of the Future theluminaryarts.com/exhibitions-and-events/recently-possible-objects-of-the-future/.
People often ask if they can buy the things I create, and the answer is no. I have neither the time nor the interest in making this a side business, which is why I release all of my designs under the CC-BY-SA license creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/. However, if you lack access to a 3D printer, two Etsy stores, etsy.com/shop/CarryTheWhat and etsy.com/shop/PlasticFusion, sell a few of my more popular objects. I'm happy to link to anyone who wants to sell my designs; all I ask is that you attribute them to me (using my full name) as per the license.
Most of my ideas were derived at least partially from others' work, and I always love to see more designs derived from mine. I hope you enjoy my creations.
