I recently started the bitbeam project. bitbeam.org Bitbeam is taking an old idea called "grid beam" and shrinking it down to make it compatible with Lego Technic. Why? Well, with bitbeam I can now have the perfect robot building material. It's like Lego, but since it's designed in OpenSCAD, I can print parts in any size I want when I want. My first project is to make a bitbeam-based CNC machine that, of course, can make more bitbeams!

Many years ago, I created a web testing tool called Selenium. (http://seleniumhq.org) A few years ago, although I still live in Chicago, I started a hip "cloud computing" San Francisco-based startup called Sauce Labs. (http://saucelabs.com) Selenium is a software robot you can use to test that your website works in a bunch of different browsers. Sauce is a service that will do that for you... in the cloud!
