Parametric hinged and bolted attachment for square bars

This OpenSCAD script will generate a 2 part holder to attach a Tyndall WIMUv3 to the upright square cross-sectional posts on the moveable sled part of the assassin trainer at Bath University. The size of the bar it is attached to can be parametrically varied

Todo:
test fit and adjust
add "wiggle" for bolts and captured nuts

Warnings:
None

Note:
You will need to also have the modules mouse_ears_test.scad, pivot_1_0.scad and rounded_cuboid_v2.4.scad in the same directory or your library for this to compile correctly

Changes from previous versions:
0.4
- Adjusted position of cutouts around hinge and bolt clamp so that they dont go all the way through the wall to make for easier printing and drilling
- Made hinge pin larger to make it easier to insert hinge pin without drilling
0.3
- Added option to add device holder on side or not using use_holder variable
- Fixed large clamp part so that it has correct internal dimensions
- Increased height of small cutouts on long side of WIMU hodler so that activity LED can be seen
- added comments
- Moved everything up onto the build plane
- Fixed some translate issues where bar_stock_l and bar_stock_b were mixed up
- Moved the hinge and bolt side cutouts so that a thin piece of material would connect the 2 halves
- Moved the mouse ears into the union and differecne operations applied to the main clamp body
0.2
- reduced individual parts count by using the pivot module only twice and using cut lines to split it up
0.1
- First attempt
This is a heart-shaped box similar to the one Kurt Kobain spoke of in his lovely song, "Heart Shaped Box." I uploaded two versions of the box - one is smooth on the outside, the other is not. The lid should, in theory, snap in place. This can be used to show your significant other (female) that it was totally worth spending $700 on some metal and plastic scraps.

PS: The Quantum Concepts logo on the bottom is sort of a cross between a spoof and a goof. It can be removed if you prefer.

The V:tES decks have more cards in them than the standard Magic decks. 102 cards in sleeves don't fit in most available deck boxes. So I learned Google Sketchup and made my own.
It's not fancy, but it's solid and fits really well.

I also put the V:tES logo on the front of the box for added customization and opponent jealousy.

Hooray for my first uploaded design!

Whenever I leave the store I always end up with a pocket full of those little golf pencils they have all over the store. I’m not a collector, it just happens.

Well I’ve decided they deserve a better life. One where they are used and not ignored because of their size in the bottom of a drawer. Time to liberate my miniature writing implements.

I've created a golf pencil dispenser inspired by the straw dispensers you see in restaurants. It also has a lid to keep it tidy and holes for screws on the back so it can be wall mounted.
- split case on connector height because every connector sticks out
- used a little indent on the outside, so you could stack them
- used 2 screws for attaching the bottom and top
- top has a raster so you still can get wires in/out to the GPIO connectors
- top has a small square for a logo sticker

v2: Added scad file, with flat outside shell
v3: smoother corners and fliptop option

v4: Different levels of case split (make it 3d printable, thx David)
Looks strange but it fits...
Added frame mode (so no bottom and top deck)
Moved screw locations due to split and added some support structures

v6 Added pcb drawing
Added colors
Cut out better so there is no debris around
DRAwvars and options seperated, so it is easier to do 1 part
Make a low as possible case, let USB stick out

v7: PCB options
Low level case optimisations
SD card location alterations

v8 adapted pcb dimensions, board is really 56mm width
adapted support studs, moved some due to component location
components locations adapted
v9 Added logo in seperate dxf file
Option added to put logo in middle or using whole deck
beautified code, kr style
v10 Added logosunken and bottomsupport structures
Bottom supports are located where no components are located
so the pcb is not only supported from the sides
Well got my case, so based on what I see I changed:
case split level changed, should be better when printed on a reprap
Removed screwholes (far to small) for fastening top and added some more studs
Made frontstud a little thicker
no more changes I think until I get the definite board...

They recommend you use a fan to cool the board but they don't include a fan or an enclosure. So it bought a "thunderblade" 80mm blue led fan from radio shack and designed this enclosure for the board. I didn't feel like designing fastener attachments for the top-base connections so I just heat welded them together.
Feel free to modify the design to use a different fan if you like.

This OpenSCAD script will generate a single part rack for mounting multiple double-stacked 25x25mm Radio->USB "base station" PCB units. This allows the units to be easily slid into the enclosure where they will be held securely by friction and locked in place by micro-USB plugs which attach at the side. These racks will be acetone-welded into commercial ABS enclosures for a professional looking, low-cost and secure medium scale technology build.

This would be of use to someone who wants a modular system for securing multiple stacked PCBs within a larger enclosure in such a way that they can be readily removed.

Changes from previous versions:
v0.6
- use rounded cuboid for USB plug cutout to attempt to prevent roof from falling in
v0.5
- fixed cutout for USB above thicker shorter section by placing difference operation across entire union operation
v0.4
- added support to thicker section to help it print properly at large z values
- added cap and cutout for USB above thicker shorter section
v0.3
- added support to thin section to help it print properly at large z values
v0.2 2011-12-13
- make base thinner
- make tray walls taller
- remove tray lip
- a 4 base station unit with mouse ears in a hollow cuboid tray
v0.1 2011-12-13
- first attempt a 2 base station unit with mouse ears in a hollow cuboid tray

When I built my Huxley I had a perfect box for the electronics. This is a replication of that box. I am only using the lid myself after deciding that 10mm holes for ventilation would be enough to keep the stepper drivers cool. On the original lid I had a fan mounted.
I had to split the box in half because my Huxley can only print 130X130mm.
The box is 144x82mm and 29mm deep (outside measured). Walls about 2mm.
The extra slit on the lid is for the SD-Card reader. That's the position I have my reader in. But you can of course move it around in SketchUp.
