This is mostly just an example of my idea for action figures. It incorporates the use of polyurethane and the dual extruder.

I'll be looking forward to seeing more versions of action figures using this method.

I really loved the original Garden Toad by SSW, but the STL had some non-manifold gaps and Slic3r was not giving me the same platform that I saw in the original photos. (I thought it looked like wood planks, but mine came out with a mostly flat puck and some warning messages.)

So I edited the base in Blender, and made a new base out of a cartoony lily pad, a perfect throne for this king of warts.

The photo shows what 0.150mm layers and 0.4mm nozzle can do on a Printrbot, with MatterHackers gold PLA.

This physible is part of a larger articulated (poseable) armature for a printable action figure.

I have also added a stress-relieved version for those printers that find the basic socket too tight a fit.

Here is a statue of Dibella From Skyrim, now you don't have to steal it from that lady in Riften. i found the file in a forum, not sure how it was pulled from the game, but i haven't really chased that avenue.

This is the first character that I ever modeled. I love character modeling and bringing something into reality from nothing. The idea is that she's a Ninja Sniper with essentially small scale missile bullets that can be directed to a target miles away.

With this version I have completed all of the basic poses for the characters Blu & Gree. They can now Stand, Sit & Walk. Of course I can make them do lots of other things as well... and I plan to, but these are the basic ones.

This version of Gree is a bit more dynamic than the Walking version of Blu... He has more tilted hips and shoulders, making his post more natural.

A 3D scan of a Miku figurine I own, made with a NextEngine scanner in ScanStudio HD PRO. This was my first run at 3d scanning something, so the mesh has a few problems (holes). I was also unable to get the figure to stay in one pose long enough to get multiple angles.

Update! Successfully made on an Up! printer using 0.2mm layers. The body seems to be 2 discrete closed forms, however, so some gluing was involved. Hopefully I'll get a better scan later.

This is the same Reddit alien uploaded by Zorink, just cut in half for easy printing.
