This is a WIP because I still need to design a cap.<br />
<br />
There is a cavity in the middle to capture the hook. This was designed for a 1.8mm diameter needle with a 5mm bend on the end.

This thing make that handle empty, adds some threads an introduces a cap to be bolted in those threads.<br />

Now you have a handle that is also an storage box!

<br />
Just a quick OpenSCAD that slices the skaft.stl in three pieces (bottom, middle and top) and then, it puts them back together changing the length of the middle section to fit the length that has been entered as a parameter.<br />
<br />
I tagged this with the "thing-a-day" tag... Oups! I was too late to sign-up so, I guess I shouldn't. I have no problem to remove the tag :-( just let me know

<br />
I need the tap holder for rethreading holes after powder painting. That is why i made the handle thicker. For a drill holder it might be better with a thinner handle. Let me know if you want me to make one :)<br />
The insert is drawn with a Ø6,1 hole.<br />
I will also change that for you if needed.<br />
<br />
INFO: I have measured some other taps at work today. They do not match the size of the cheap ones I use at home.<br />
So please check if the ones here will match your tap.<br />
<br />
I will post new inserts soon.

My first print of the original design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15321) did not work out so well (so I cancelled the print 30 minutes into the estimated 7 hour & 50 minute print... full support just killed it).<br />
<br />
My print of this version is already finished (364-layer print & took a little over 4 hours to built). The photos to the left are basically "fresh out of the printer", with very little clean-up.<br />
<br />
Note: This version DOES NOT have the tapered "V" mounting block feature, like my first design. It's just a stand-alone can holder. But it works. And with it's MUCH shorter build time (versus my 1st design), I just wanted to print this version for real-world testing (and adjustments, if necessary). With it's 68mm inside design diameter, my beer (errr, BEVERAGE) slipped right into the holder, and it's a perfect fit... snug enough to hold the can with no slop or slippage (is "slippage" a word? Heh heh), but with no room for movement at all. Exactly as I'd planned it.

The STL I posted has a 5mm shell as I wanted to reduce the amount of filament used but did not want to simply lower the fill as it would have lessened the amount of plastic in some of the more structurally strained areas. That said.. this thing is solid. It took quite a bit of work with a pry bar to spread the ends out far enough to fit the toolbox.

<br />
After printing and assembling it myself, I would like to warn you: if your printer is not perfectly calibrated, you will need an additional tool: a file.<br />
The stretch plugin for skeinforge might also be of use.. I used slic3r though.<br />
<br />
I like the tight fit on the final assembly, so I like to keep the parts as is. - Remember: it's not plug and play - but it's worth it, if you need it :)<br />
<br />
The handle is taken directly from Frits design, and modified slightly to fit on a M8 rod.

The combination of thin cardboard, heavy boxes, and two flights of stairs to my workplace mean that sometimes it can actually hurt to carry such a box. <br />
<br />
Reminded of langfordw's ergonomic plastic bag handle ( <a href="http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3230" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">thingiverse.com/thing:3230</a> ) I quickly sketched this up in OpenSCAD and cranked out an STL. This is clearly less sophisticated and less ergonomic langfordw's, but I think it will do the job nicely.<br />

The Grohe shower head is one of those hand held types, but the wall bracket did not match the shower head correctly, and held it at the wrong angle....the shower head was perpetually pointing in towards the wall. So to shower, you had to constantly hold the shower head in your hand the whole time. My first thought was that that bracket was mounted upside down or something, but no luck. It must just be mismatched. So, I designed and printed a new bracket that holds the shower head at the right angle.<br />
<br />
After I was done, I noticed other similar OpenSCAD objects on Thingiverse, that I probably could have modified, but I made a new one in Solidworks since I did not search until afterwards.
