This is a simple safety mechanism that I designed to prevent a stove from being turned on when people lean against it.

When I have parties in my apartment, people tend to lean against the stove and accidentally turn the gas on. Obviously, this is bad. The Stove Stopper 3000 fits snugly between the knob and the stove face-plate to prevent the knob from being depressed, and therefore, from turning.

These items are designed for use in a 1:24 scale (1/2-inch = 1-foot) architectural model.

These objects are custom modeled directly from the objects in my personal home, which I designed and built myself. However, they are common household appliances and construction components that can be used in just about any design.

The actual photos of my home are for model relation purposes. My 3D model of my home is accurate to within 1/64" in most areas.

2-7-2012: Uploaded a few more progress pictures of the project. I took photos of my TV screen, pellet stove window, and the "bricks" in my engraved concrete entryway, and printed them out on photo paper (to scale), cut them out, and glued them in the appropriate places. Looks great! :)

replace a broken knob for a toaster oven

This object is the tiny push button for the electronic control center. There are 6 of them on the stove and they are all needed for the proper functioning of the appliance. Unfortunately they are also very fragile especially when they get older.

This structure is far narrower than you should really attempt to print with a Makerbot/Reprap style printer
If you do attempt to print this you will need some external support and possibly to print several of them at once or else enable cooling

My oven is old. Made by Sears some time in the 1950's we think. One of the knobs that controls the light and fan is missing and the other is melted. I can't find replacement parts that fit. So I decided to print them.
