A driptip with a skull to fit 510 vaporizor hardware.

I saw something similar a few weeks ago, and when I stated getting into OpenSCAD, I thought that this would make an ideal project. The Skull was imported as an STL from [akaziuna's Skull with Pointed Teeth][1] into OpenSCAD, to which I added some elements I had already designed.

Currently beinging printed, (hopefully) photos to follow.

Antlers of the European deer 'capreolus'. Scanned by Autodesk 123D. The antlers print nicely (see pictures) but I did some post-processing afterwards with a scalpel :)
I painted the antlers with acrylic colors.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to play with a Phantom Omni Haptic device recently (if you are unfamiliar with what this hardware interface does, just give it a google, it offers incredible potential for 3D modeling). I loaded the Celtic Skull file into Geomagics Claytools, and with the Phantom Omni 'pulled' horns out of the skull.

So... enjoy this slightly more demonic augmentation of our friendly Thingiverse Celtic Skull. Cheers!

Printcraft flat skull keychain

I did not create this, I got it from GrabCad but I sliced the bottom off so it prints better and when printed it sits on the table better, won't wobble or tilt. I also scaled it down.

This is a scan of a Buffalo skull (American Bison) that was done with a Microsoft Kinect for Windows and ReconstructmeQT software.

I am uploading several versions of the files. One is the full scan, the other is the skull and horns in separate files.

I've uploaded OBJ files, STL files, and Makerware Thing files.

This comes from a set of data from the Open Source Paleontologist (http://openpaleo.blogspot.be).

This skull was created from the Osirix sample dataset "CEREBRIX" (http://www.osirix-viewer.com/datasets/) using the web interface at prevuemedical.com

Photos are from a version printed in polyamide at 1:1 scale.

This one has been rotated and fixed in NetFabb basic.

A scarry hot-shoe plug to pimp your favorite camera!

Made this as a birthday present for my wife.
Note entirely accurate, as I used reference pictures to reconstruct the skull and sculptris doesn't let you make through holes.

I wanted a skull for the desktop, but traditional skulls where kinda played out so I made this one to look like the devil..

Replica was scanned using a nextengine 3d scanner, then skinned with a poisson surface reconstruction in meshlab and finally checked for any errors with netfabb studio. Thought I would add one more picture. My daughter really wanted a unique nightlight and liked the skull, so I took a radioshack led and stuck it inside. You can see the result attached (sorry for the poor focus).

Lots of credit goes to hendo420 who made the origional, i only modified his work. The bong is designed so that it will fit the average glass bowl-and-downstem

EDIT : I uploaded a fixed version processed through netfabb since there were some kind of artifacts on firsts layers when slicing with Kisslicer.

I have created a head from a scan and placed an existing skull file in side it. I believe the skull was originally this one - grabcad.com/library/skull-1 although I got it from here: thingiverse.com/thing:43591 and I have done a bit of refining and tweaking to the STL file.

I found a different skull that I wanted to print so I sliced it up for printing. The jaw should fit better on this model.

Another skull - made this from a DICOM file.
The patient had part of her skull removed in order to relieve intracranial pressure.
Once swelling has subsided, the skull will be remodelled.
As far as I know they don't use a makerbot for this - as yet :)

This is a scan I made of one of the skulls we use in the Art Department for Still Life Drawing. It was scanned using 123D Catch and cleaned up in Meshlab. It lost some detail in the cleaning, but still a good result.

After creating the original skull I realized the bottom teeth on the jaw were skewed and although the teeth fit they were shifted back a little.

Someone else fixed the jaw and I sliced and re-sized it to fit my skull.
