Used openSCAD to cut the heart from the dragon model.

OpenSCAD didn't want to work with the full resolution version of the dragon so I trimmed it down a bit in meshlab. (dragon_lowres_ascii.stl) I used the heart thing thingiverse.com/thing:6190 to clip the heart from the original model. Then clipped the bottom of the heart so it could be used as the heart for the final print.

I was practicing doing some modelling in Blender and made a unicorn for a friend..

I really like thingiverse.com/thing:7820# it's an elegant solution to the spool management problem. It's cool the way that it attaches to the top of the machine, taking up a minimum of space.

Sometimes though, the filament has to move at an awkward angle, so I designed this additional bracket to tilt the spool and give the filament an easier time.

This is a derivative of the Parametric Hypercube by Brucey (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9728) and the Exploitable Heart by emmett (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6190).

Use it to show your nerdy significant other that your love can't be expressed in a mere 3 dimensions.

This is a cleaned up version of the printed clock we were able to make during Clockathon #2 last weekend. Thank you Makerbot and Bre for setting that up and hosting it, and thank you Ben for all the help, the awesome test print all set up, and the brilliant idea to back off one gear for the power drum.

It was ticking, powered by a weight that would only drop about 9" per twelve hour period, and included printed concentric shafts to support minute and hour hands on the face of the clock.

I wanted to display a "ShutUp&Hack" as during the UnlimitedDesignContest ( flic.kr/s/aHsjvcr15A ), didn't had the file and can't find something like that on thingiverse or the web...

So I remade it quickly :)

I started out simply wanting to print a giant bread tag for a friend. Little did I know that an entire taxonomy exists for the parasitoids known as Occlupanid (Occlu = to close, pan = bread).

The most thorough research into these organisms has been conducted by the Holotypic Occlupanid Research Group - horg.com/horg. Their work was even used in the report "Plastic bag clip discovered in partial colectomy accompanying proposal for phylogenic plastic bag clip classification" published in the BMJ Case Reports journal: casereports.bmj.com/content/2011/bcr.02.2011.3869.abstract.

While the SCAD file is parametric so far I have only designed (bred?) one example of the Toxodenta (curved teeth) order, based on an example I found in the wild which appears to conform to the classification of Palpatophora utiliformis - horg.com/horg/Palpatophora_utiliformis.htm.

I intend to extend the SCAD file to include examples of species from each order. I also encourage people to create their own variations and mutations. Let's see if we can get these creatures to evolve into something new! ;-)

This is the first of a new set of pieces designed to be a desktop figures or re-sized to be a suitable replacement for simple pawns in your favorite board games. Print off a whole set to add a touch of madness to any game.

EZPASS transponder holder and mount with suction cup. I use this because I switch from car to car and don't want to use the permanent velcro.

I needed to fix my filament tube to the driveblock.
This thing snaps right on the driveblock and your tube will be fixed!

In my previous derivative of Rasle500's great design I just made a longer handle.

This thing make that handle empty, adds some threads an introduces a cap to be bolted in those threads.

Now you have a handle that is also an storage box!

According to the Chinese horoscope 2012 is the year of the Dragon.

In honor of that we have scanned a bronze Dragon statue... and thought we share it with you!

This is my second model for a 3d printer and I tried to use my experience with the first model (thanks for all the tips!) to give this one a better start.

This is one of the original dualstrusion files for the experimental dual MK7, modified from Belakor's design by MakerBot intern Will Langford.

For Thing-A-Day Day 01 I created a pegboard suitable for mounting and testing gear trains and similar, using Tony Buser's fabulous Pin Connector V2 tools. I figured this tool might be useful for the MakerBot Clock Makers project and for educators and students looking to explore basic gear mechanics. This tool will become more useful as people (maybe you? maybe me?) generate tools to lock gears into place for heavier use.

With this Thing installed, you can easily access the bottom mechanical and electronic elements of your unit by removing only four screws and tilting the entire top of the enclosure onto its back without disconnecting any cables.

My MakerBot's musical tones often set digital mood for each of my lan parties. It furiously pumps out prototypes of whatever models we throw at it between matches. Then we thought why not bring our game to life?

Nothing good ever comes from caffeine induced delusions during 4:00AM LAN parties. Well that never stopped us before. So this is the first step in creating a fully motorized robot.

I introduce to you, the Exoskeleton Crystal Harvester.

The next iteration will have drive motors and Bluetooth communication.

This is a slightly more challenging variant of Dovetail Triangle that only opens when held in a certain orientation.
