I've been looking forward to modelling these for a while. They were introduced in the 5th season of doctor who.

Since the thingiverse needs good robots to fight the bad ones, i give you R2! I've modeled the full scale version in inventor and put the files here. I've also made an attempt to make it printable. However, since my printer is currently down for repairs, i'm hoping someone else will give it a shot and let me know how it goes!

Obviously design credit goes to lucas film, but the 2d design files came from the r2 builders group, and the 3d is the result of days and weeks of modeling and guessing. May the force be with you :)

I'm working for an exercise start up this summer (which is why my part posting has been non existent for a while) and one of the projects i worked on was a "wear your workout" campaign. The company mainly sells resistance bands, and this belt buckle would allow the user to wear their bands around, and be able to have them on hand at any time. I'm not trying to overtly advertise them, but i thought it was a pretty cool idea, so I made one and printed it up for them. And since the start up works out of an incubator, other people were able to see the coolness of having a 3D printer around! I'm still trying to figure out in this is patentable for the company though(hence the all rights reserved license), so when i figure that out, ill try to make this Public Domain.

In order to defend the Thingiverse from the Rabbit of Caerbannog, I've uploaded the holy hand grenade of Antioch. It still needs to be made printable, but I wanted to post it quick, that thing has big pointy teeth!

Update: added a top, bottom and cross file, this should be easier to print.

I have a while before I can upgrade to the next droid phone, so I wanted to create a hack that allowed me to have a front facing camera without taking apart the phone. So this basically holds a few mirrors and allows you to use the regular camera as a front facing one as well. Its still a work in progress and you can see the camera/mirror quality isnt all that great, but I was hoping to get your feedback and make this better.

I'm messing around with different Doctor who props, and the old school sonic screwdriver seemed like the easiest to replicate, but I'm still working on getting it printable. Thought I would post this as a placeholder for possible future developments

Since I cant find any detail drawings for a cyberman helmet, I figured a good first step would be to draw the chest logo. For the uninitiated, this is the chest piece of the cybermen, one of the arch nemeses of the Doctor.

Designed for the Makerbot Charm Challenge. I figured people at maker faire would want something like this to take home.

Update: Modified the model so that it doesn't use Autodesk Inventor's Text program, instead I just traced the letters and re-extruded, hopefully that will fix the inside out issue!

A celtic knot type design bracelet that I've been messing around with for a friend. My friend has smaller wrists, so if there is enough demand for this I'll scale it up.

The key clips in and you can magnetically stick it to a discrete place on your car. I'm using it to hide my key during runs.

Disclaimer: as pointed out in the comments, if a thief finds your key, you will not be able to claim any insurance money, so be careful!

Using the same model from the full body, i made some modifications and printed just the head for better detail. Enjoy:)

Since I just bought a toothbrush with a larger handle, it no longer fit in my old toothbrush holder, so I made a new one!

Based on an idea I got from MakerBlock, I decided to create a Dalek from the 2005 series. I've used drawings from various groups to create it, so it should be to scale. However, I haven't quite worked out how to attach the eye, plunger, and gun yet, so that will hopefully be in a posted update soon. I could use any suggestions on attaching them!

In honor of the end of David Tennant's Doctor, I decided to model a small version of the Tardis. The Original model was much bigger, but in order to save space and plastic I scaled it down, so some of the detail has been lost. It is very rough right now, so I'd love it if anyone wants to enhance it let me know, or link to this so I can see your version! I used Autodesk inventor to do the modelling.

UPDATE: I added tardis_scaled.stl which is a little larger, giving it some better definition and I also hollowed it out so the print didnt use so much plastic.

UPDATE: Makerbot now sells blue plastic, if anyone prints this in blue, please post!
