I got a new chair from ikea which came with armrests. I didn't want to screw them on the chair, because I generally don't like arm-rests on my chairs and they don't fit under my desk. Not mounting the arm-rests left some blank nuts which didn't look very pretty.

I need battery-compartments in various sizes for my projects, so i made a
openscad file that generates them for me. Just enter the battery type (AA, AAA, C or D)
and the number of batteries you need. Export the stl file and add it to your project or print it as a standalone box. The only thing thats needed (besides batteries) are litte metall stripes for the contacts.

Recently some very awsome cookiecutter-designs started to show up on thingiverse (like the escher cookie cutter ( thingiverse.com/thing:3207 ) or the jigsaw cookie cutter ( thingiverse.com/thing:3267 ), and many more) (and one of the local radiostations has played "last cristmas", because it's only 6 months till x-mas O_o )

So i thought about how the generation of such custom cookie cutters could be simplified and i developed a custom cookie cutter generator in processing.

I made a gekko for the makerbot. I first took a pencil-drawing I made waiting in
a delayed plane, made a 3D object from it using blender and printed it on the makerbot

the stl file is far from perfect, and has some holes in it (at the feet), but it prints and the
result looks ok

@Update: I printed it and it worked quite well

I printed some interlocked rings on my makerbot. The design was made using openscad and the rings don't touch while printing.

A friend of mine is currently renovating his VW-Oldtimer. For one of the windows two little plastic parts are
needed, but he could only get one :-/

so i designed a replacement part in openscad and printed it on the makerbot

Recently i bought 20 little cacti, but i had no matching pot saucers.
So i started my makerbot and makerbotted some.

(well i know - i could have bought some too, that would have been way faster and cheeper and blablabla - but hey! i have a 3D-Printer :-) )

I just made a Dragonfly using my makerbot. The model was made using blender.
when printed the body is ca 4cm long
