I made a hole in this for M5 threaded rod. You can use this for your clock as a pendulum weight. Fill with pennies and adjust as you like.

I looked into getting lead shot for the weight on a mechanical clock and it turned out to be cheaper to use pennies. This should hold about 2.5 pounds ($4) of pennies with some room to add more if you need to.

Note: To stay under the 150mm height limit of the Replicator you'll have to use the shorter stl file.

I originally set out to make a head, but instead made a pyramid coin holder thing. Made in about 5 minutes with Tinkercad.

I made this in 1 minute on Tinkercad. Fun!

Sometimes you want to undo what you've just done, right? Well with this ring, you can just punch the thing you just did and it will undo it.

I wanted a cursor to point and click on things in real life. I modeled one in Rhino for osx and I am looking forward to printing it.

Here is a diamond. I reckon this is something you can add to your jewelry!

This is chunky version of the saw ring. This would be handy if someone tied you up and put you in a trunk and you needed to ring-saw your way out and then hit them in the face when they let you out of the trunk...

I'm working my way through some Rhino tutorials since I've got the free rhino at the moment on OSX. I customized this one to have a saw in it.

Note: the inner diameter of the ring is 18mm which is pretty tiny. Feel free to scale up if you have big fingers like me!

This is my submission for the Dragon Design Race that I ran with MakerBlock. I said, "lets have a design race!" he said "Dragon!" And then we had 25 minutes do design something and upload the first file and picture.

You asked for it. I mocked it up. This has not been tested or even separated into separate parts for printing but it's a start.

Sometimes you need to launch something and you need a boat or a spaceship. Here's a toy paddle boat for your enjoyment in the local fountain or bathtub!

I needed a money clip, so I MakerBotted one.

If you want one, you should make the two ends angle towards each other. Also, I tried putting letters on it in sketchup and they didn't show up.

Lately I've been wanting to see more toy cars and trucks on Thingiverse. I rarely have time to actually design things for the MakerBot, but it's Sunday morning and I woke up thinking of forklifts, so I decided to make one.

There are brutal overhangs, but I'm going to try anyhow!

If I keep getting 3D scanned, I'll have to implement version control. Thanks to Mike and Don at Siggraph Studio for helping turn this into a printable model. They extruded the back of my face and then sliced it and got it all set for printing. Also thanks to the crew at dimensional imagining who did this scan using 4 cameras to get the data. Impressive!

I took Syvwlch's simple bottle and stretched it wider and taller to make the angles less severe. It printed!

Yup, outside the buffet at the Excaliber Joli took 3D scans of us and burned us a cd. This really needs some cleaning up and a backside to be solid, but I'm really impressed with the scan. It got the texture of the argyle lines on my sweater!

Here Be Dragons!

I roughly based this on a welsh gold coin an hacked it together in inkscape and then fine tuned it in QCAD.

Since I am giving a presentation at a conference with the subtitle "Here be dragons" I knew I had to print dragons.

I've managed to cut the head off the open dragon from here:http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/meshes/meshes.html

But it's not a clean cut and I'm not terribly good at editing models so if someone wants to improve the cut, I'll reupload the model.

I grabbed this from Google Earth, which has a very nice open license and it really needs some changes to print well.

My approach with the SKP or KMZ files is to work with them in the free version of sketchup and then use my trial version of sketchup pro to export them. Because I have 8 hours of trial time on the pro and it only takes a minute to export them, that works for me.

If someone wants to create a derivative and go in and make the book go all the way down to her hip, that would help make it so that it wouldn't start printing in mid air.
