Due to a slightly aggressive bedroom space optimization project, I don't have space for a bed side table on my side of the bed. Having my phone lying on the floor makes it just a tiny bit hard to grope for it when the alarm goes off. This will bring the phone within better reach, plus it also leaves room for my reading glasses.

During this process I lost 16 of the spheres.
I also changed the API to use vectors to mimic the behavior of the internal primitives.

We've been meaning to update the include/library feature a bit in OpenSCAD, as well as ship some useful higher-level objects libraries with the binaries.
Keep making free libraries/parts and we might end up having a cool initial collection!
The model is partially parametrized, meaning you can adapt the parameters given at the start of the file and an enclosure will be generated to fit your inner volume, holes, material thickness etc.

The script generates DXF for laser cutting.

I will probably generalize this model further whenever the need for a similar enclosure arises.

See also the OpenSCAD source code for more info.

NB! Requires openscad-2010-01-31 or newer (for project() and ceil() functionality)

Being an avid cupcake baker and just loving pink clothing, this was the perfect opportunity for making my long-term vision of being able to bake cupcakes while tweeting my progress in real-time finally becoming a reality.

So here I present: The Keyboard Cupcake Apron.

The design was inspired by Zach's keyboard pants:
thingiverse.com/thing:589.
Also thanks to Zach for giving me his leftover keyboard!

This is a simple model, but I uploaded it for the story:
Philipp, Bre, Zach and I brought one of their MakerBots to a bar in NYC. While sitting there printing objects and drinking Sangria, I quickly tossed together this model and printed it.
The bartender got impressed enough to give us all a tequila shot on the house, of course drunk from the printed glass!

To regenerate/edit the model, our under development and undocumented MetaCADEvaluator plugin is needed. This is part of the development version of CSGEvaluator for Art of Illusion:
The model is now almost fully parametrized, making it possible to change parameters like base radius, height, base/lid ratio, number of edges in the star and regenerate the geometry from within Art of Illusion.

To regenerate/edit the model, our under development and undocumented MetaCADEvaluator plugin is needed. This is part of the development version of CSGEvaluator for Art of Illusion:
Notice how the AoI file is only 12kb while the stl version totals ca. 5mb.
