I love the Nautilus Gears(thing:27233) but I had trouble printing the bar.
To fix this I redrew the connecting bar so it should be easier to print the taller parts.
As well, I made the 2 connecting bars needed the same.

I also uploaded the original nautilus gear file for completeness.

A part to fix a broken lid hinge on an old Sony record player.

Recently I got a record player from a garage sale. It works perfectly, except that one of the hinges that holds up the lid was broken. This means that the lid wouldn't stay up on its own.
To solve the problem I modeled the broken part of the hinge and printed it, now it works again.

For a graduate course I was doing I needed two webcams that would produce rectified (no rotation and only translation along 1 axis) stereo images.

To compensate for any imperfections in camera positioning there are adjustment screws to change the camera angles as needed.

Inspired by extending tubes (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7081).
I wanted to use less material, make each tube thinner so more will fit in the same area and have the tubes lock in place when open or closed.

When the tubes are closed the guides that protrude into the track of the tube around it are held in place by a bump in the track (like in thing #1481).
When the tubes are open they twist to lock and the guides go over another bump in the track so it can't fall back. Having it twist to lock allows the track wall so it can resist force along the axis.

A quick tool holder that attaches to the 5mm plywood to hold a caliper, tweezers, and 3 hex wrenches.

UPDATE:
After my tool holder broke I updated the design to be stronger. The new part is "tool holder V2.stl"

When I got the hydrokinetic adjustable wrench (from thinkgeek.com) I noticed that the knob was stiff after it has been sitting for a while. Because the knob is small and has pointy edges this made it hard to turn.

To fix this I designed this knob that press-fits on and makes it easier to grip.

Inspired by thingiverse.com/thing:5756 I wanted a ducted fan that would use an older CPU fan I had laying around.

I designed this to fit on a thing-o-matic and rest on the extruder platform.

By adjusting how much of the arms are hanging over the edge around the extruder the airflow can be controlled.

A robotic arm with 2 degrees of freedom (DOF) controlled by 2 servos and an arduino. Fishing line (or extruded plastic threads) acts as tendons and a spring at each joint allow the arm to curve evenly.

This project is a stepping stone to a larger project, so it is not meant to do anything useful yet, but be used as a part of whatever you can come up with.

A box where the lid arms clamp down to hold it in place when the knob is turned.

This is a derivative of thingiverse.com/thing:4458. When I built the shorty version I had trouble getting the parts to print correctly and I wanted the ring to turn further to fully open the box.

When I designed this iris box I started from scratch and used a different mechanism to open the box.

I have also uploaded the NX6 .prt files for anybody who wishes to use them.

A clip, for clipping things.

The clip was based on the clear clip in the images.

A case for the MakerBot watch made out of laser cut 6mm clear acrylic. It can use up to an 18mm standard watch band.
