            <title>Nautilus Gears With Modified Bar</title>

To fix this I redrew the connecting bar so it should be easier to print the taller parts.<br />
As well, I made the 2 connecting bars needed the same.<br />

I also uploaded the original nautilus gear file for completeness.

<br />
Recently I got a record player from a garage sale. It works perfectly, except that one of the hinges that holds up the lid was broken. This means that the lid wouldn't stay up on its own.<br />
To solve the problem I modeled the broken part of the hinge and printed it, now it works again.

I wanted to use less material, make each tube thinner so more will fit in the same area and have the tubes lock in place when open or closed.<br />
<br />
When the tubes are closed the guides that protrude into the track of the tube around it are held in place by a bump in the track (like in thing #1481).<br />
When the tubes are open they twist to lock and the guides go over another bump in the track so it can't fall back. Having it twist to lock allows the track wall so it can resist force along the axis.

Because the knob is small and has pointy edges this made it hard to turn.<br />

To fix this I designed this knob that press-fits on and makes it easier to grip.
