This is an updated version of my previous posable robot action figure - thingiverse.com/thing:64131

The joints have been completely redesigned, adding sturdiness with a more realistic degree of freedom so it can now balance on one foot without falling over. It's also more compact and a slightly different proportion to the previous design.

Update - There's now an image with Vertex side by side with a Lego Hero Factory figure for size reference.

Update 2 - I've uploaded a new upper leg stl that's not as unnecessarily dense as the previous file so hopefully there shouldn't be any problems slicing it.

UPDATE 3 - There are 2 new zip folders one contains 3dm files of the whole figure and the other just contains the individual joints. Feel free to use these files to create your own designs.

Update 4 - Inspired by Toy story I decided to add a name onto the foot of the action figure although I used the robots name instead of my own. I've added an image to illustrate.

They worked ok for their purpose, i'm not sure how much use anyone else will have for them but I thought I would share anyway.

RoboLabs Lunar Elite - Vertex

Professor Bot and his team of makers have recently relocated to the Robolabs moon base to continue development of their unparalleled robot building technology away from the threat of the dangerous Dr. Warp.

Disaster struck however when one of Dr. Warp's minions hacked into the RoboLabs mainframe and stole Professor Bot's Lunar Elite technology! This could prove catastrophic if the evil Dr. uses it to replicate a robot army.

Professor Bot must now rely on Vertex, his finest creation to retrieve the plans for Lunar Elite before it's too late...

UPDATE - I've uploaded a new version with completely redesigned joints which are much improved - thingiverse.com/thing:69329

car (mercedes c9 inspired)

This car model is loosely based on a mercedes C9 le man car.

The model was split in half as it prints better this way. Unfortunately on my set up it warped quite badly and so it could do with some tweaking.

The model is pictured in two halves but can be glued together on an unwarped print.

I've uploaded a step. file for anyone who would like to edit the model.

UPDATE1- I've added two more files, an stl and stp of 'car thingi whole'. This is the same model which will probably require support material but you won't need to glue the two halves together. Thanks for the suggestion jfpion.

Please upload a photo if you print one :)
