This is a new reprap.xml file for ReplicatorG that allows you to use your reprap or other Sprinter-based firmware machine with ReplicatorG. This version supports extruder control from the control panel. If there is a machine that you would like to have a driver for I will update the .xml file with a driver to suit your needs.

With Makerfaire coming up I was thinking about how I will be able to recognize other 3D printer operators. Since we all don't usually go by our usernames I thought about how we could use our machines to recognize each other. So I created this nifty little 3D printer operator badge. So print one out and wear it to Makerfaire to show your pride for 3D printing. This is also a great conversation starter! Plus it is in the Makerfaire colors!! Wear one to Makerfaire if you 3D print!!!

This is a Makerbot business card holder. Font from dafont.com/designer-block.font. Desgined in Sketchup 8. I have included the sketchup files for those who would like to mod this. I have also put up a blank one if you would prefer not to have the logo or would like to put your own logo on. I think it would be pretty cool of these started popping up around Makerbot Industries!

This model was created to test the amount of overhang your printer can handle. This is work in progress so more models will be uploaded when I have the time. For now this is a 50 mm high object with a base of 20 mm and an overhang of 45˚ degrees. Correct me if I'm wrong but, in theory if this cannot be printed then you layer hieght needs to be decreased. I currently am rebuilding my hot end so I will not be able to print this for a few days. When I do get a chance I will print this and upload some pics.

A little 8-Bit Mario I whipped up.

This is a must for any 3D printer operator. I find myself getting into situations where I have to present my 3d printer or explain what one does. Well a lot of people want to see what one can make. I usually don't have good objects to present to them or show them. I have created a fail proof pack of awesome stuff from Thingiverse to show your audience what your printer is capable of. Here are the different items:
1. Bre Pettis's Head
Bre scanned his head on a 3D scanner then uploaded to Thingiverse.

2. Whistle
Zaggo created this awesome useful whistle that actually works. A favorite among my friends.

3. Whale Tooth
Vik created this sperm whale tooth. Because sperm whale teeth are very rare. But with a 3D printer there is now an abundance of them.

4. Bottle opener
Starno created this bottle opener which uses a penny to open a bottle. A favorite among men. Instert a penny and your good to go.
