The lattice work in the center was a design inspired by Islamic art I saw in a mosque. I drew it out on paper then cut popsicle sticks to fit the line.

Each face is a "kite" shape cut from an aluminum can. After they were all glued together I painted the black borders along the edges.

A lamp I made in the shape of the 34th Stellation of an Icosahedron. This is actually the same shape as my "Star". You might find more of the idea of the geometry of this lamp by looking at the "Star".

This model was inspired by a stellation of the Icosahedron. I started out with a cardboard model. To that I glued pieces of CDs that I cut and painted a blueish-green. The center pentagons are aluminum that I cut from pop cans, turned inside out, and glued to the cardboard.

I'm sure there's some "official" name for this shape, but I just made it from a picture I saw. Technically, it seems to be like an icosidodecahedron with prisms extended from the pentagonal faces!?!?!?!?
