Description
This is for use with the Thing-O-Matics shipped after May 2011. This one has the nut wells for captive nuts and also allows reuse of the original screws. I tried to add a radius for strength between the 2 cubes, but it did not work in the final stl.
Instructions
1. Remove the top 2 screws for the right-hand Y-axle cover plate (the one closest to the Y- belt idler).
2. Place the bracket over the head of the idler bolt and position it in place resting on top of the axle. (some trimming of holes to make it fit might be required)
3. Replace screws in the axle cover plate with the nuts fitting in the nut wells of the new bracket. (I was able to get the nuts to suck into the part by fitting them with the screws before installing)
4. Adjust belt tension, if necessary.
