Original thread:

I have made changes to the design to suite my motors and needs
This is using:
Turnigy Plush 25amp ESC
HK KK2.0
SF 8045 props
Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 2830-1130kv Brushless Outrunner Motors
Carbon Fiber Tube 3K 12mm Diameter for Quadcopter Multicopter

I have not made a lid for it yet as its body dimension kept changing to fit other items in.

If someone wants the different revisions of the body or prop guards I will post them up.

I printed the guards upside down with lots of support.
printed in both PLA and ABS though the ABS warped fairly easily until I kept my printer covered in towels.

that warriors have a gorgeous hoop propeller gets to be printed?

The plastic is not impact resistant enough. Need them to be made out of foam or something lighter with more give. I will revisit the foam idea one day.

i love this thing.. and want to buy it ... any one wanna print one for me..ill cover costs

Just downloaded it, but you obviously have a much bigger machine than my Makerbot Rep 2? - no way I can build it? :-(

Hi Dale,
Yes I have a aluminatus A1 300x300x300ish.
more tinkering then a makerbot but I do like my build volume.
I tried to break the guards up into smaller printable parts but became to hard to join them each revision I made.

Great minds think alike! Been working on a protected Quad myself (and fly a TBS!) - Going to download yours and have a play :-)

This thing is really slick! Nice job!
