Featured Thing!

Description

Our foosball table came with the creepiest dead-eyed foosmen possible. Here's a printable modernist alternative!

This is a great idea...

There's only one way to tell. I'd say that a "match" between different types of fabrication technologies is an appropriate way of dispelling myths about their strength... It would make a great viral video. Then again, you would need a fair referee if you want it to really count, otherwise it's just good entertainment. 8-)

I'm almost certain a player printed on our Z-650 with Resin-X would take on your best ABS player you have.... and look good doing it!

Ha! We could even put your own face on the guy! :-D

This is a good model. There were a couple of doubles in Blender and the player was a little small, but it was very useful all the same. For people who need a bigger foosplayer I have made some modifications to this and will post it soon.

Thank you very much Phooky!

Instructions

These foosmen are designed to match the foosmen on our particular table. From what I understand, there are several different foos-standards in the carefully regimented world of contemporary foosball sport. I can not make any claims about this foosplayer's dimensional compatibility with any particular table.

I print this guy head-first, since he's got a nice flat patch on top. He approaches the maximum height I can safely print in my Makerbot.

Sweet digs A! I can't wait for the faced players! How is force of the player? I imagine it's harder to trap the ball since ABS is so slippery. Hopefully it kicks the ball hard enough to shoot with the goalie!

I thought this picture was appropriate since it shows how much better life is with a 3D printer! 8-)

Cool! And remember: don't print this with a Z-Corp ;)
