Engagement Ring

Description
I printed it with black ABS, and then printed a small white cube and set it with some magic glue eagleapex left at Hive.
I drew the 2d shape in gimp, then had a friend render it in 3d using sketchup (I fail at 3D). I made some adjustments using Blender for the final print.
She said yes! Now to get our MakerBot to print with white gold.

Instead of printing in white gold, print it in like carbon graphite or something cool and pop a diamond in it, i think that'd be cooler
you probably really should do what lenore said... yeah its sick you designed it yourself, but c'mon man!
do her justice with some real gold. women might say that their not materialistic, but, thats a damn lie. hahaha. nice lil project though.
It's very pretty.
I wanna make my class ring on the CNC mill at school(My reason is to save money tho). lol.
Shut up WTF, you've got no idea. Congrats on the real devotion fynflood, money means nothing compared to creation, top work!
Good man! Congratulations on your engagement, make it last a while cos it's great fun! :D
Congrats! I don't think MakerBot's temp can go quite high enough for direct gold printing, but you can print it out in jewelry grade wax and take it to a jeweler to have it cast.

Congratulations on your engagement. Let's do a a silocon mold to cast in white gold!
