Castle Block Playset - UPDATED 9.5.2011 by tc_fea Aug 30, 2011

Featured Thing!

Description

This is a castle block set. There are now 11 different pieces:
wall, corner turret, open gate, closed gate, castle end, castle door, roof end and roof center, added 135 degree corner, short wall and pointed round roof.

A standard parts list is provided as file: castle_playset_standard_pieces.pdf

all the .stl files are zipped into two files:
(1) castle_playset_stl_110830.zip
(2) castle_play_set_more_stuff.zip

File: assembly_2_110905g_labeled.skp contains all pieces. However, some of the other .skp files may be more convenient.

This set can make a 3X larger version of "miniature castle" thing:7013

looks super! I hope you post the files on thingiverse :)

I made a castle in 1/8 inch (3mm) plywood using an Epilog Laser. The whole thing is just a little smaller than one square foot (92902sq cm).

That's cool!

Instructions

parts lists are included for two possible assemblies.

assembly_1_parts_list.pdf see 3rd image on left (similar to 2nd image)
assembly_2_parts_list.pdf see 4th image on left (similar to 1st image)

the assembly parts lists refer to the standard pieces list which refers to the actual .stl files.

135 degree corner allows an octagonal castle.
the short wall allows combining a half octogon with a rectangular section as shown in the top image.

Yes there needs to be a "click Like twice to Love". Almost like on BoardGameGeek where they have "want to buy, would like to buy, MUST BUY" :)
