Summary

It's the Iron Man faceplate on a ring.

Various sizes and materials also available at https://www.shapeways.com/shops/vivenda?section=Rings

Instructions

There's two ways to print this(6th image in) . Best method I've found personally is upside down (for FDM) or with the faceplate facing up (which has seen some good results on SLA printers.

Yo man your license rights as a Designer have been violated.

Read this sad face's post: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1350837.

Just3dprint just copied your pictures and ripped off your non-commercial design on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Printed-Ironman-Faceplate-Ring-/262192877889

File a (VeRo) complaint run that Douchebag out of Ebay! I mean you put your license as non-commercial for a reason right?

Sad Face! IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Thanks for that mate. I've been aware of this since nearly the beginning. In fact, I've had the tabs of my models that have been posted to eBay open for a while now but haven't been able to get around to it. I do intend to in the next few days.

I really love this ring! It came out so cool! Thank you so much for making it!

Wow! Its wonderful! Its very useful for all day~

Soooo... no word on what size it is? I'd like to print it but would prefer to know what scale I need to set up so that my son and I can have matching rings!

It's a US size 9 ring from memory.

Would love to print one for me and the lady but you only supply one size and a re-size of the object makes an enormous mess. any chance of posting a few different sizes?

If I were to resize it, I'd be scaling it the same way you are.

Hey Mate, any chance of one without the text in the band? As my printer makes a mess of it unfortunately :(

Really nice model though :)

just started pringing and gave this ago came out ok but could be much better if any one has setting tips for this ring would be much appreciated.

I have printeted 10s of this ring, its just awesome.
I just wanted to inform you that it looks like someone took your model, covered your name and presenting the file as theirs.

Hey cool! Nice to see it being printed.

Sad about someone else claiming this as theirs. If I'd been asked I would have uploaded it there as well, but for someone else to do so and call it their own is a bit of a downer. Thanks for letting me know.

this is a amazing idea nice job

just one question: do somebody know the size of the ring? and the different scale % for each size? thanks

Just wondering how to print this? supports? rafts? orientation?

Best method is to print in either of the orientations shown in the 6th image. Will require support. Raft optional.

I found rafting on "exterior only" worked for me. Nozzle fan @ 87%, bed and nozzle temp not adjusted. Nice Ring :)

Can you tell me what did you used for the golden/used finish?
Nice model!

Thanks! Gold spray paint which I wet sanded with a fine grit sandpaper after.

Okay, tried this one out yesterday. Some trouble with the rafts, but after some troubleshooting. A great result!

can you send the model ready to print?

Great to hear!
