Featured Thing!

Description

This is one I've been tinkering with for a while. Way back in the 70's my Dad had some neat little eggcups that had a teensy compartment for salt and an area to put the shells in. I can't remember exactly how they went, but mine go a lot like this.

Thanks a lot for the eggcup, I just ate two eggs on my homeprinted eggcup. The egg even tasted better! :)

I picked up a copy of ViaCAD 2D/3D from Punch Software for $99, their customer service have been very responsive and the software saves great STL file directly, I was using AOI and resizing and saving STL from Blender. so far I have been very happy with the app.

You can get started with this renderer yourself. I hope that you can perhaps improve my interactive web based viewer :)
There's a topic about it on openmanufacturing.org here:

Can you tell me the name of the 3d software pictured in second pic. I have been trying to find the same but no luck so far. Looks like a capable software.

yup, just what roboteernat said. its a rendering of the STL file using povray (which is open source)

jopodoe, when you upload your stl file, thingiverse creates the second image, its not uploaded by anyone. i spent a while looking for it, but when i uploaded macerbot mini, it generated one itself.
