Replacement Playstation analog stick. by matrhint Sep 21, 2011

Description

This is a replacement for an analog stick for a Playstation controller. My dog chewed my original PS3 sticks to the point where it hurts your thumbs....so I made new ones. This can be done to make your controllers look unique if you don't have broken ones.

Ran into two issues with this model when using a Replicator 2:

- The end thumbsticks are too large to put back through the controller frame
- The posts do not fit into the circuit board

The first issue may be solved by altering the size down a bit (it's about 3 mm too much in diameter) but the post issue would only be made worse.
I know it is a bit out dated. But, could anyone/you share the dimensions?
I am going to try this with pla on my tom soon.

The dimensions are not correct.
I will look on my computer and find the autodesk files and see if I accidentally resized the stl. How far off was it?
I am sorry, I couldn't find the original file. I will make another while I print some parts for another project. Those measurements will speed up the process. Did your dog eat yours too?
Its the thickness of the half circle base that the main problem. I took some measurements of a joystick if you would like me to share, just say so.
