Description

this is REPLICANT - g’s lil’ bruddr (little brother)-

If you think you gave your parents grief writing on the walls with crayons, you ain’t got nothin on this guy who writes everywhere in ABS.

print in UV reactive red if you dare, but be careful around black lights....

His shoes leave the makerbot logo wherever he goes, and printin him is simpler than my other entry because all his body parts will fit on a makerbot 100mm x 100mm plate (except for head)

at this scale he is compatible with Tbuser’s robot toolkit parts- I created a t-joint for the legs based off his peg design too.

special thanks to NYCdesigner from thingiverse who printed out REPLICANT - g and posted some good pics, so I had some other thoughts about making a smaller version that could be printed quicker.

Instructions

might be a tight fit, but got all body components to fit on a 100mm x 100mm plate- . I encourage you to mod up your own head designs to fit, just punch out a hole that fits Tbuser's small peg. I have included the head that is in the rendering in this STL, but it will not fit on a plate with the rest of the body.

awesome and hilarious :)

This is an excellent design!

To print, I split the head off from the plate using Netfabb, then reduced the polygon count to 10% of the original number using Meshlab.

Everything snaps together really crisply, really strong joints with a bit of friction. I had to use an X-acto knife to slightly widen some of the pinholes, but
this might be a result of the poly reduce process.

I'll update the photo once I print the head.

Next week I'll print Replicant-G...

Congratulations on a truly excellent design. The physical object is really satisfying to hold and play with.

thank you for building it and the kind feedback- the build looks awesome and so does the alien head! :)

Good luck in the competition

You are outdoing yourself! I'll have to try this.

Nice, I like the feet. Where can I get me a pair of Makerboks like those? :)
