608 Bearing Wrapper + Face by ril3y Oct 30, 2009

Description

This is my attempt to create a 608 bearing wrapper that has gear teeth on the inside. Without a belt currently this is not very useful however once I get a few belts I ordered in I will make matching inside gears. I got this idea from makerbot's older method of 1/8 plywood for their 608 bearings.

Love it. Also love the aesthetic of acrylic and metal.
Only suggestion I'd have is I'd put 2+ pin holes in there so you could drop pins in to make sure the gears are all aligned when you glue them.

Instructions

I used 1/8 plexi-glass and super glue. I also had some 1/4 aluminum spacers that were used to place inside to be 100% accurate on gluing alignment.

So... Cut.. Insert bearing, Glue...
