Summary

I designed this to dress up a project that used the SainSmart LCD Keypad Shield with and Arduino. The bezel itself prints pretty easily with very little support structure needed. The buttons are designed to be self-captivating (they just push in and stay). There are pilot holes for screwing down the LCD, but be sure to use spacers if necessary. As with anything, some adjustments may be necessary depending on the slop in the electrical components.

Instructions

Use caution in cleaning up the button holes in the bezel, ream them too much and the buttons won't be self-captivating.

Please would you post the original design files (eg: FreeCad, OpenScad or whatever) so that it is easier to make modifications. For example I want to add a few symbols and a small edge trim so it wil fit neatly into a project box. Thanks

Great work, thanks for sharing this design!

Muchas gracias, voy a probar con mi LCD keypad

I made a different model for the buttons to keep them from popping out.

I use Slic3r and set the auto cooling setting. It allows you to print tall skinny parts with little to no warping. If adhesion to the plate is an issue, use a brim.

Do you have any tips for printing the buttons?
