Mendel XLR power connector bracket (parametric)
Description
This holds a chassis mount XLR connector, which is the standard power connector for a Mendel RepRap printer. I didn't see a bracket for this type of connector up here already so I made this one.
Instructions
The STL file makes a part with a 26mm long slide, an XLR connection with a 37mm diameter flange 2.5mm deep, and a body diameter of 19mm. If that matches your connector you can probably use the STL file as is, otherwise grab the SCAD file and make corrections as necessary.

The original mendel files did actually come with a simple reprapped xlr connector. You can see it in this picture near the bottom: http://reprap.org/wiki/File:Ex... I don't think many people included it in the sets they sold though.
Yours does look nice, and now I want one. :P

Kind of dangerous to use a XLR connector for power in case there is audio equipment around too. :/
(unless it's 9-48V applied like Phantom-power)
Well, I'd have thought so too but it's been used for quite a while by RepRappers. I also think that anyone dumb enough to plug a microphone or mixer into a RepRap power supply gets what they deserve to some extent :)
