Description

This mount fits the body of the Logitech C910 once the original mounting hardware is removed. The mount fits over the back of the camera and can be secured into place using a M4x22 bolt. There is also a flange that the camera fits into on the mount, this limits X/Y jitter quite a bit when the camera moves. Between this and the bolt the camera stays pretty darn secure.

I used the mount to attach the camera to a "TERTIAL Work Lamp" from IKEA which runs around $9. It makes a great camera jig and unobtrusive desk mount for recording Makerbot prints or anything else really.

More details about this build and photos on my blog post here: thenewhobbyist.com/2011/10/9-webcam-jig/

Instructions

1. Remove original mounting hardware from webcam
2. Print mount
3. Secure mount to camera using M4x25
4. Bolt the mount to something awesome and record away!

I can print this part in ABS on a FDM Dimension Elite at 0.10 layer thickness for $12+shipping.

I'd like to order one as well.

I'd like to order one of these mounts ... please let me know how.

I love this hack of the lamp's arm :)

HA! Your setup is IDENTICAL to mine, old lamp arm and everything. My attempted printed mount was a clip on sleeve as I wanted to save the original hardware...this however, looks much more slick. Thanks!

Brilliantly simple! Will try this out tonight.
