Description

If you still don't have a MK7 extruder (and lots of 3 mm plastic haha... :( ) for sure you experienced this problem with the pluger screw in your MK5/6: youtube.com/watch?v=tflRlH45SOk (before)

And this is the *improved* MK5/6: youtube.com/watch?v=MKfpU7ZJyJo (after)

Then, few prints and your perfect presure over the filament gets modified by this vibration. This guide removes all the problem.

Instructions

1. Print (I used 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.3 mm layer, 60% fill)
2. Screw the original screw, the hole is tight so I used a bit of 3-in-1 oil to make the screw thread
3. Insert the piece and screw into near the original nut (keep the nut near this guide)
4. Adjust the filament pressure now, it will be rock solid :)
5. Enjoy!

OMG! I just printed 18hrs straight thanks to this. I had no idea this was my problem. My"I made one pic' shows most of the prusa I'm printing. 1 failure in that time. Longest print was 3hrs +. Your a lifesaver.

This made my thing-o-matic go from completly unreliable to print and forget. If you have a stepstruder print this thing out.

This is just what I was looking for, clicking noise to eliminate
&
amp; everything. Thank you!

I haven't installed this yet, but it may fix the problem I am increasingly getting with the extruder jamming (it makes that clicking noise and slipping on the filament feed).

Yeah, clicking sound when the motor goes backward. I don't get that problem anymore, the pressure over the filament does not change now (it is even hard to change it by hand, I have a blister in my index finder haha).

Anyway if you filament is damaged, it is better to cut that part and re-feed your extruder.

Exactly what I needed!

Thanks, made one in translucent PLA and it really helps!

Thanks! I was wondering if this was the reason my filament would stop extruding. I'll try it out.
