Description

I took Bruno Levy's model of a stone kitten published on AIM@Shape[1] (specifically the "kitten quads" file) and processed it a little. I fixed minor issues (such as flattening the base) so I could print it out.

Instructions

You'll need full exterior support to print the model, the head is just too big and has too much overhang.

Printed at .15mm layer height in PLA without support on my OB1 printer no problems. The photo is as it came off the printer not even cleaned up :)

Printed with and w/o raft - 3 mm PLA green transculent 210 deg C (raft 190), 0.25 mm layer, linear fill-pattern, netfabb + axon2 (+ Chyllds derafter for derafted version) on RapMan 3.1 with firmware 4.2.1s and some little improvements, (1 h 43 min print time each kitty)

i can't print this perfectly like u all. do you mind sharing your setting?

nice one, will download it. haven't has time to try with support yet. i think i should jz find a time to play with skeinforge setting before printing it.

Not sure if you're talking to me or declan...there are so many settings, I'm not sure if they transfer to your printer...if you like, mail me at friends AT richardgoodwin DOT com and I'll mail you my SF profiles. They are for Mosaic which is a .35 nozzle.

Printed w/o support, SF43, MakerGear Mosaic, .2mm layer, 1.75mm "silver" PLA on blue tape :)

Was able to print this without support, no problem.
