Hey! This thing is still a Work in Progress.
Files, instructions, and other stuff might change!
Prusa X Carriage Motor Side Redesign
Description
This is a redesigned prusa SAE x carriage, for the motor side. It was done in solidworks 2010, and is designed with printability as it's main goal. I had problems with overhangs, and thin parts breaking off, and this should solve those issues. Also, I hate gluing parts so I just added holes for bronze bushings in the support column. I'm getting ready to print this now, I'll try and post pictures when I'm done. Looking forward to comments!
Instructions
Once the part is complete, the diaphragm in the hex hole will have to be punched and filed.

Very nice! Does the smooth rod column fit LM8UU bearings? Those seem to be the most popular choices these days.
Just added another version that will support lm8uu's they go in, and are secured with mcmaster 98455A112 or something like it. I don't have any lm8uu's so I can't test this, but it should work fine, thanks for the suggestion
