Description

This is the first custom part for my MakerBot Thing-O-Matic #5801 dubbed "MiracleMaker." These are the rod end-caps for the front of my bot. As can be seen in the artist's rendering, I'll be doing a few aesthetic mods and as I learn more about this machine, some functional mods as well.

Even though these are meant to bring character to my personal machine, I figured I'll share them for others to enjoy too!

Stay tuned for more awesome! ^__^

Instructions

Print, replace wood end-caps using same hardware

That looks absolutely gorgeous! :-P

"secretly designs devilhorns for his printer"

Now - we - can - fly. My TOM has wings to be mounted. Thanks!

make these fit the ultimakers axle endcaps too pls

If you can give me the distance between the center of the two holes, I might be able to do something. Though I'm not totally sure how I'd orient the wing to look good with where the end caps are placed on the Ultimaker.

like it

i think a "Pimp my Bot" tag should be invented

photoshoped photo looks extremelly nice! how did you painted your bot?

I just spray-painted the body panels with metallic paint prior to putting it together. I'll be printing and gluing the MakerBot logo and MiracleMaker words. The rest I'll hand-paint.

Form should follow Function, so could I suggest integrating your pretty wings with http://www.thingiverse.com/thi... ?

Looks like I'll have to work on the form a bit to gain that function. Good idea though!
