I printed a set of these (two yellow and two black) out of PLA at 85% fill, and they're working GREAT. I've even had a few pretty hard crash landings without any issues.
The heat from the motors doesn't melt the plastic? Those DC motors can get VERY hot.
One of my four motors gets significantly hotter than the other three (it's defective and has more friction than the other three for some reason). On that motor only, I've had a little bit of deforming of the plastic around the mounting screws, but not enough to cause any issues. If you're worried, print the mounts out of ABS instead of PLA. If your motors get hot enough to melt ABS, then you've got problems.
It hasn't been an issue, but just to be sure I had one printed in aluminum on shapeways.com

Bit too heavy to fly. The fly time decreases drastically. Motor has no appropriate cooling, so the bearings are working in difficult enviroment. I suggest to add some cooling channels to let the air flow through the holder.
Perhaps it should be a little bit smaller to loose some weight.
