Summary

The purpose of this 3D print is to replace the stock holder for a hex key set. After purchasing the set from a local store I found some of the stock holding clips were damaged and others fit loosely. Instead of returning them, I designed and printed a new holder. SAE design coming soon.

Is this correct size?

Hi Everyone,

Fixed the issues many of you were speaking about. I was using a slicer software with a repair feature built in, so I was overlooking the issue. Everything should be good now. Uploaded the print in MM too. Thanks for all the feedback. Let me know if you have any more issues.

I'm sorry to say, but it seems to me that this model is broken. I could scale it up by 25.4x so that the size seemed okay, however Cura could not recognize all the holes correctly. I tried to fix it with https://modelrepair.azurewebsites.net and with Microsoft's 3D Builder, but the "fixed" result contained only 3 holes in both cases.

Jesse, I really appreciate all your hard work to create and share this model, however it seems, that many of us are struggling to print it. I would be grateful if you could upload a correctly sized model. Thank you.

Great news, thank you very much, I'll try it as soon as I can!

i printed it 2 days ago and got no problem ;)

Thanks for the help! I fixed my design as well.

It's designed using Inches not MM. It's sized to fit MM hex keys.

Looks interesting, but sized incorrectly so pretty much useless.

You need to scale from Inches to MM.

Hi,

when i load the .stl to reptier host the item is really really tiny.

Is there anything i need to do?

Scale from Inches to MM. I designed using inches.
