Description
Here are 2 identical elliptical gears with an odd number of teeth. The links are attached on front and back using both foci of the gears and cross over each other during rotation.

Cut 2 links, 2 gears and 4 washers. Use dowels for axles and glue dowels to both the gears and the washers. Make the links free to rotate on the axles.
