Description

5/16" x 2.5" (8mm x 63mm)

Will work with both 3mm and 1.75 mm Filament.

Yes, it was made using knurling tool, I named it as "Hobbed" just for easy searching

and taging.

I installed it on 4 printers with Greg's Geared Extruder and it is no problem at all.

The only issue I was experience is filament wasn't positioning in the same spot

when extruder working, then I found this thing: thingiverse.com/thing:13351

and it works like a charm now.

That looks to me to be knurled bolt make with a knurling tool ... not hobbed.

Does anyone have experience as to how well knurling works as a tractor for the plastic filament vs. a hobbed surface?

Sure the knurling depth does matter, but knurling looks a lot better and feels awesome especially if you get agitated by "that crooked nail inside the wall" I guess.

I don't even know the difference between hobbing and knurling!
