Description

This is just a derivative of a great spool holder from Charlespax, adapted with a plate to fit the BFB's printers. you don't need to drill to damage your printer to fix this stuff, this is a hook up thing!

Instructions

Download my STL files, print them as is. There is a big and a small holder for different spool size. (750gr/2.300gr) I used ABS with 0.5 layer thickness, infill of 40%, no raft, no support. Use 2 flat head screw of 8mm to assemble the plate to the holder. No need for bolt, normally...

I just printer a bunch of the spoolholderasimple parts, without the plate. The hole spacing matched the angle iron holes of the Gorilla shelf next to my printer I've screwed them outside of the shelf for a spool rack.

Hi, just curious where you feed your material in now. Is it still via the tubing next to the control board?

thanks!

Yes, that's what I do. I have mine mounted on the top left side of the machine, the filament goes through the big side square opening, i use my filament clip (http://www.thingiverse.com/ima... to drive it and then in the tubing next to the control board. That way it can print for hours wthout worry. But the hook is designed to be used all around the machine. So, you can have the spools in the back of the machine if you rather.

I tried printing absimple, and it tried printing it off the board no matter what I did to center it. *DONT_KNOW*

hi, what did you use for software? I f you use Netfabb you can move the stl anyplace you want before slicing with your software. Maybe you have an offset set in your soft... :-D
