Why is the blue "ring" a figure 8? one side of it should be omitted.

Just for esthethical reasons/symmetry. Remove one side of the biggest fig8 ring and you have your classical topology. Though topology is changed, no two parts interlock. So they are still borromean.

STL loads fine with no errors for me. Thanks for sharing!

Too quick of a hack...the STL exported from SCAD does not produce a printable result.

Strange I had no problem with this file.

What exactly was the problem / error msg?

is it possible that jo upload an STL from?

I've uploaded a *.stl with 2.5mm rods.
