Description

Want to make your own clothes? Have a Makerbot? :)

This is a design from a chilean designer called Mauricio Rojas, design is called "Telar para Valentina". I (my makerbot) made the plastic parts. This is a work in progress (soon I will add the details for the wood)

I used aprox 1 lb. of white abs 3 mm plastic (pieces printed in 30% fill). About 4 days of printing (20 hours). The big parts (regletal.stl) require a very nice calibrated machine, this is why I used: thingiverse.com/thing:14174 to achieve outstanding quality!

Instructions

1) Print 20 regletasmall2.stl (10 times this file)
2) Print 10 regletal.stl
3) Print 2 gotaengrane_fixed.stl
4) Print 8 thumb screw thingiverse.com/thing:11848
5) Details for the wood: (pending)
6) Assembly: (pending)

Please can we have the wood measurements (if that is notWood pieces preliminar.skp) and the assembly instructions soon, I so want to make one for my mother who did this in her youth and it will bring back so many memories for her!

This is really cool. I am going to build one for myself and one for a friend of mine who is really into weaving.

Can't wait for the details for the wood!

Jake

I wonder if you could print some of the wood in segments and attach it some how. I might look into that.

Great! I can't wait to get started on this.

I attached a file with the wood dimensions. It is 1:1 in size but it is not a very polished file yet :)

This is great!

This is the sort of serious project that makes 3D printing more than a toy.

Thanks for sharing it with us.
