Ok, stupid question, do you run the same bolt through all 3 of the boxes, or is it one box to get the size indicated on each box?

One bolt need run through all 3 of the boxes. After last bolt be good.

Mine did not work because tap have too much play against the bearing.

That one have a shank diameter of 5.3mm. Mine is the same and it have too much play. I probably need one with shank diameter of 6mm to fit the bearing exactly.

No, it is not specific tap. It is a normal tap for M6 screw.
