Great work on this SCAD file. I was trying to use the STL file that is in the mendel download from sourceforge, and I couldn't get it to render in openscad. Since I don't have a 3d printer yet, I needed to "slice" this extruder into sheets that I could mill on my 3 axis cnc machine out of acrylic. This source did the job, and I now have a the part that I needed.

Thanks again.

Also, setting Skeinforge to lay down the inner shell before the outer shell lets you go quite a bit beyond a 45 deg overhang.

If you use Skeinforge's bridging code, circular horizontal holes work pretty well without the teardrop shape.

there have been very few things that i have printed that required that. and i usualy use support material to solve the problem rather than the tear drop shape

You do need teardrop, as the over hang cannot be supported without anything underneath it
