Mendel OpenX Carriage Bling
Description
This is a drop-in replacement for the standard mendel x-carriage. It is is inspired by Buback's OpenX Carriage with the following mods:
1) Integrated belt tensioner
2) Fan mounting
3) Some silly features that I think look somewhat artsy/blingin.
The intent of the design was to incorporate the 40+mm square space to fit larger profile extruders, while giving the carriage some steez.

Instructions
You'll want:
qty 8x // M4 nuts
qty 10x // m4 screws, shortish
qty 2x // m4 screws, longish
qty 2x // M4 washer PER bearing, plus some bonus you may may adjust things with
qty 6x // M3 screws (assume fan mounted!)
qty 6x // m3 nut
qty 10x // m3 washer
qty 10x // cartridge bearings
Print the "plate" file to get everything you need. Install pieces as shown in images.
I printed an older rev w/ a different fan mount in the pictures (also, with a poorly calibrated printer), but it should all still work dandy. Infact, prints are looking fantastic with this little fella now! Enjoy.

I like your addition of an integrated belt tensioner on the side mount. Is there any reason why I can't print out only the side arm mount and replace my current original OpenX side mount? Did you keep the same screw hole placement on the carriage for the side arm that Buback's OpenX had?
