Featured Thing!

Description

Give your iPhone a 1-up! I designed this for my fiance, who wanted a fun charger for work. I based the design from a candy tin she bought at a shoe store (of all places) that was approximately 75% the size required.

What do you use for the connector pegs?

Is there a version that the white parts are separate, so I can print them in a different colour from the rest?

Instructions

See the full-size of the exploded view picture to get the full assembly. It needs to be printed in parts to avoid any problems with printing. Put it all together with 3 3X15 and 3 3X30 dowel pins and a touch of glue. The iPhone connector I'm using is one of the newer, shorter types.

This thing is sweet! I'd buy one if someone would print it for me? Any takers?

Just be sure to post up pictures!! Also, some testing may be necessary. I am supposed to get my makerbot this month and haven't printed it yet. I did a digital DV in CAD but you know how that goes. *DONT_KNOW*

I am going to school and have a rapid prototyping class. What are you willing to pay for it?

Awesome job! That things is beautiful! Only thing now is to see it printed and assembled. Any chance of seeing a Nexus One adaption? ;)

Dang! It cut me off!

Anywho, it may be possible in the future. The only thing that would be different is the top of the 'shroom to accommodate a different connector and phone size. That's why I posed the STP file, if you have access to a CAD system.

I'd like a Nexus One myself! The phone, more than the dock.
