Duplo to Fischertechnik (uck-00f01m) by uck Mar 19, 2012

Description

This is a component of the Free Universal Construction Kit, a collection of adapter bricks that enable complete interoperability between a wide range of popular children’s construction toys. By allowing any piece to join to any other, the Kit encourages totally new forms of play across otherwise closed systems. As with other grassroots interoperability remedies, the Free Universal Construction Kit implements proprietary protocols in order to provide a public service unmet, or unmeetable, by corporate interests.

This is adapter uck-00f01m, which joins Duplo® to Fischertechnik®.

Complete information about the Free Universal Construction Kit can be found at fffff.at/free-universal-construction-kit.

Dear Thingiverse friends,

We acknowledge the complaint some of you have expressed, that the various pieces of the Kit should be combined into one Thing. We disagree; the Kit is an inherently non-finite, extensible system (which could yet include adapters for additional construction toys someday soon), and this seemed the b
est way to go. The combined Kit STLs are already 85MB, and, as you can see, still growing.

We do regret and apologize for the inconvenience caused to those of you who, though our mass-publication of the Kit pieces, missed your "moment in the sun" on the Newest Thing pages. We'd like to assure you t
hat we are not spammers and have no intention of doing something like that on a regular, or even infrequent, basis.

It would probably be a good idea to combine all these parts into one thingiverse entry! that way they're both easy to find, and don't crowd the newest items list!

Nice but could this not have been published as a kit on this site? Rather than burying other peoples designs under almost three pages of individual items.
